Brass Pineapple Door Stop

No. A16907

Brass door stop in the form of a pineapple.

The pineapple was first known to the Europeans when Chriostopher Columbus and his crew enjoyed it in the Caribbean.

By the 1700's the pineapple symbolized hospitality and a sign welcome.

This antique door stop is brass with lead weight in the bottom.

The leaves are extended at the top to create a handle.

Retaining it's amazing color having not been polished for decades!
