Wonderful Indo/Portuguese rosewood console with superb carving detail in remarkable original condition.

This console would have been a revered piece in a large house and rosewood is quite dense which helps acount for the perfect condition.

This type of furniture is quite rare and was made for the Colonial Portuguese who lived (and managed plantations) in southeast India from the late 1500s through the early 19th.
